Comet NEAT Emerges, Though Dimly
On May 5, 2004 Comet NEAT (C/2001 Q4) rose high enough above the sun to be visible from the northern hemisphere. However, Comet NEAT turned out to be so dim as to require a telescope to view it. The images on this page animate the positions of the comets, but exagerate their brightness for the sake of easy illustration.
